Happy New Year from Rogue and Rascal !

In the world of Scottish Deerhounds we oft hear of certain books - The Scottish Deerhound with notes on it’s Origin and Characteristics by E Winston Bell for example along with a host of many others. Enthusiasts can have trouble finding a copy of these valued printings which prove to be rare in bookshops and public libraries. It takes dedication, perseverance and patience to hunt down a hard copy. Indeed, digital copies can be difficult to find – with the ever increasing hostings on the world wide web making nany searches a little more fortuitous.

But as followers of Rogue and Rascal know - if it’s deerhound - it’s likely to appear on this blog. So if you do not own a copy already and are interested - click the link above to be taken to a copy of the E Winston Bell book.

Enjoy 2011 and remember . . .

Here's to the deerhound, the glen and the heather,
The bonnet, the plaid, the kilt and the feather!

Slàinte maith, h-uile latha, na chi 'snach fhaic!

Hi there! This is a great blog, hope you don't mind if I follow along! I was looking for some info on a print I just bought from an antique store when i stumbled apon your blog. it is called " a scene in the highlands" published 1854. It looks like edwin landseer's work but the artists name are too faded to make out. Do you know of this work? I could certainly send you a picture of it if it wasn't to much trouble--i would LOVE to know more about it! thank you either way!
